About Factory Unlocking and Clearing an ESN
A factory unlock will make it so that your phone will work on any carrier that uses a SIM card, FOREVER, regardless of the firmware. There is no jailbreaking involved in these unlocks.
Clearing of a bad ESN: an ESN is an "electronic signiture number" that is attached to each phone. Carriers can block this number and not allow a phone to be activated on their network. Clear this number to allow activation of the phone again!

Factory Unlocks will take up to 24 hours to come through, however usually less. Instructions will be given to you upon purchase of an unlock.
